Llanrug is located on the A4086 between Caernarfon and Llanberis. It has excellent connections with the A55 through Bangor.
Llanrug is one of the largest villages in Arfon and Gwynedd with a population of 2911.
The village of Llanrug lies on the banks of Afon Seiont on the heath between mountain and sea. It stands about half-way between Snowdon and Afon Menai by Caernarfon.
To the south of the village is the rise of Cefn Du; to the south-east, Snowdon and its neighbouring summits; with both Elidir mountains and the waste-tips of the slate quarries.
